Quilting Bee Block #7

Another fascinating and fun to sew block! This one is constructed much like the string quilt block, only using triangles. I think they are called spiderweb blocks.

In any case, I have been having so much fun sewing these different blocks. Only problem is, it makes me want to do a quilt with every type of block. “Problem”, heh.

Here are my results:

The participant asked that we just send the triangles back un-pieced. I can’t wait to see her completed quilt. I really love the colors she chose!

I did a spiderweb block for a bee, too, and I was SO SUPER INTIMIDATED!!! She gave us a great tutorial, and I learned foundation piecing. Not nearly as challenging as I thought it would be! (whew!) I really do like the look of the spiderweb quilt, and can’t wait to see my bee’s finished, too!

I felt the same way! I was thinking there was no way in the world I could do it, and then it ended up being one of my favorite and most fun blocks!
