full grown woman

A little roundup.

I have been so busy during the day and exhausted at night that my blog life is suffering a bit.  So I thought I’d sum up the past couple of weeks.

I managed to swim even farther, 1/3 of a mile, last Monday and am hoping to make it to the half mile mark next week. It still feels nothing short of miraculous.

I have a flying geese block to work on this weekend for the bee, and hopefully, I’ll be able to share pics very soon. I took my machine in for servicing recently, so I’m a little gun shy to work on someone else’s project without testing it out on something first.

I went to Colorado Springs last weekend to quilt with some ladies at Petersen AFB to make a quilt top for Quilts of Valor. That was such a nice experience except that I learned that my machine was desperate for servicing after breaking four needles, and I also learned to not travel ever again without my driver’s license. Heh. They won’t allow you on base without ID, but luckily one of the ladies in the group was allowed to pick me up at the gate. Sigh.

Other than that, summer is in full swing and we’ve been busy visiting the pool at our gym and going to the Denver Zoo and a multitude of other summery activities.
