A Jump Start
I attended a “spa party” for my friend Jenna who is a representative of Live Well International a week ago, and came away with some snazzy bath items, some vitamins and a 5 Day Reset program.
Jenna graciously offered to do the Reset with me, and today is day one. The reset is designed to do just that; reset your body into a healthy state by restoring a healthy balance of blood sugars. This is accomplished by partaking in 3 low GI shakes, two bars, one fruit selection and one vegetable selection. It isn’t a starvation cleanse because you are still taking in 1240 calories in just the shakes and bars alone. You also get these handy little packs of vitamins for morning and evening use so you’re getting plenty of nutrients.
I woke up this morning still feeling cruddy from my bout with a stomach virus over the weekend, but optimistic that I could start the Reset and do just dandy.
I am proud to report that I did just fine and actually enjoyed the freedom from having to search for the answers that are never in the refrigerator. (You emotional eaters will know exactly what that means.) I just was determined to succeed and finish day one, and I did! I don’t feel particularly hungry or deprived. Cheese and toast nearly got to me during Lily’s dinner, but I was able to overcome and remind myself why I’m doing this.
More on that in tomorrow’s update.

aw, thanks for the linky-love! It’s always more fun to do something new with a friend. I’m totally loving not having to meal-plan and cook dinners (as much as I do like to cook, it’s nice to have a little break!)
