Proverbs 2
Life is pretty predictable sometimes. As you can see, I am posting this well after it was promised. But, that’s just the way that life goes with cleaning, child raising and wife-ing.
So, without further interruption, I bring you Proverbs 2. (That is unless certain sleeping babies decide to awaken from their nap too early.)
Wisdom is the central theme of this chapter, and more specifically how to attain it and what the numerous benefits are.
The gist of it is: God freely gives wisdom to all who actively seek it and that wisdom will direct our life’s path in a positive direction.
Wisdom:
- Will save us from the ways of wicked men
- Will save us from adultery. (yeah, pretty much one would have to be without a brain in her head to cheat on a loving husband)
- Keep us righteous
- Brings us more joy and prosperity because we are following the correct path
Lord, may I eagerly seek the wisdom that you so freely give that I may experience the true joy and peace that you desire for my life!
