Just because everyone else is…

I’ll play the resolution game too! Actually, I am using this time in my life to sincerely identify what it is that I ultimately want for myself and my family. I do know that for my overall well-being, I need to drop some weight and make exercise a regular part of my life.

So, my first goal for the NEW YEAR (sounds so shiny, huh) is to make certain I go to the gym a minimum of 3 times a week. I know I can do more than that, but a wise person once told me to make my goals small so that I could constantly taste success. In addition, I am going to commit to logging my food 5 days a week. I know that if I have to log what I eat, I WILL eat less. Nothing makes me feel worse than to write down a total pig out.

Next, I’d like to continue the progress I’ve made with keeping my house more tidy and organized. My goals are to really scale down the clutter by posting ads on Craigslist and donating a bunch of things, and to organizing our filing system. (More on this to come!)

My spiritual life has tanked a bit these past couple of months, and so I am also going to commit to a quiet time 3 times a week. I am also going to try and make it a priority to just remember to try and see God in all circumstances.
